12 Women Arrested In Enforcement Operations Against Massage Establishments And Public Entertainment Outlets

The Police have conducted a series of enforcement operations against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Circular Road, Race Course Road, Mosque Street, Trengganu Street and Serangoon Road on 22 and 23 July 2019.

During the two-day operation conducted by Central Police Division, two massage establishments were found to be operating without a massage establishment licence.

Two licensed public entertainment outlets were found to have contravened the public entertainment licensing conditions. 12 women, aged between 18 and 35, were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

Investigations are ongoing.

Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Massage Establishment Act and the Public Entertainment Act. The Police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement actions against those found breaking the law.
