12:26 Vietnamese President Visit to Singapore Consolidate Economic Alliance

30 de agosto de 2016, 12:26Singapore, Aug 30 (Prensa Latina) Vietnamese president, Tran Dai Quang, today praised the efforts of his country and the Singapore authorities in the promotion of their cooperation in the economic sphere.

The leader made his comments at the conclusion of an official visit to the country, marked by the signature of important commercial agreements.

Among the agreements signed was the promotion of the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Zone (VSIZ), which began in 1996.

Tran Dai Quang talked about the visit to Vietnam of Singaporean deputy prime minister, Teo Chee Hean who will be attending the XX Anniversary of the establishment of a VSIP in the southern province of Binh Duong, scheduled for September.

In addition, the honorary Singaporean minister, Goh Chok Tong reported that his country had created a fund to support Vietnamese development in the economic community of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).

Singapore is making an effort to become a center of the alliance in the South, the minister stated and said he trusted that Vietnam will play a main role in the North of the region.
