BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) announced an official rate of foreign currencies on October 23, Trend reports referring to CBI. According to the currency exchange rate of the Central Bank of Iran, 24 currencies increased and 8 have decreased in price, compared to October 22. According to CBI, $1 equals 42,000 Iranian rials and 1 euro equals 41,417 rials. Salman Rushdie lost sight in one eye and the use of one hand following an attack on stage at a literary event in western New York in August, his agent said.
