5:11 Singapore and Indonesia Agree to Improve Cooperation on Security

11 de octubre de 2016, 17:11Singapore, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Representatives from Singapore and Indonesia agreed to improve bilateral cooperation on issues related to security and the struggle against terrorist acts, according to an article published by the Singaporean newspaper The Straits Times.

Singaporean Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen and Indonesian Security Minister W. Wiranto reaffirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation between their countries regarding national protection.

The sides discussed measures related to defense, facing the problems of transnational security and cybernetics.

They agreed to strengthen the relations between the Armed Forces of both countries, with the purpose of cooperating more in the struggle against terrorism.

Both nations decided to support each other in multilateral forums, such as the Shangri-La forum, and in the meetings of Defense ministers of the Association of South East Asian Nations.
