9:54 Thailand and Sigapur Intesify Measures Against Zika Virus

11 de septiembre de 2016, 09:54Bangkok,Sep 11 (Prensa Latina)Thailand and Singapur are intensifing measures against the Zika virus which is rapidly expanding in South East Asia.

The Thai government established a 30 day moniotoring system in the areas with patients, who were recomended to stay at home during this period of time, according to local media.

Authorities gave this order by decree after conbfirming case 21 in the country in the Sathorn disctrict.

Acording to news agencies twenty-one new cases of locally-transmitted Zika virus have been confirmed in central Bangkok, including a pregnant woman who later gave birth with no complications, Thailand’s public health ministry said on Sunday.

Island city-state Singapore reported 14 new cases the number of reported infections has swelled to 318 cases in only one month. Authorities are intensifing control measures against the disease and advising the population.

Also, Malaysia ban temporarly students visits to Singapur and Philippines as a security measure. In Malaysia only 4 cases has been reported according to New Straits Times.
