Enforcement Operation Against Massage Establishments And Public Entertainment Outlets
The Police have arrested ten women and a man, aged between 22 and 59, during a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Telok Blangah Crescent, Beach Road, Serangoon Road, Tanjong Pagar Road, and Eng Hoon Street on 23 and 24 May 2019.
During the enforcement checks conducted by Central Police Division, one unlicensed massage establishment was detected. Two women, aged 41 and 59, were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
During the enforcement checks on public entertainment outlets, two outlets were found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions. Eight women, aged between 22 and 52, and one man aged 31 were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Investigations are ongoing.
Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Massage Establishment Act 2017 and Public Entertainment Act. The Police will continue to take tough enforcement action against those found breaking the law.
