Former airline executive Rita Dy 'gives back' after retirement
MANILA – Former Singapore Airlines executive Rita Dy has made ‘giving back’ her retirement destination, and she said advancing women’s rights might be tougher than her former job.
Dy will head the Makati branch of Zonta Club in July after 40 years in the travel industry. She is also a director at Pico de Loro Beach Club.
In a recent chat with The Boss, Dy said she was excited to pursue a “new direction,” working to uplift the status of women through livelihood programs.
“There’s never the right time, but now to give back, especially after having been so lucky…or luckier than others” she said.
“We should be glad to have the opportunity to do so,” she added.
