Former President of Singapore SR Nathan dies at the age of 92

SR Nathan, Singapore’s first elected president, died in hospital on 22 August 2016, at the age of 92. A state funeral will be held on 26 August, and his body will lie in state at the parliament house for the public to pay their last respects on 25 August.
