Egypt’s Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi said that he will visit a sewage and agriculture water treatment plant in Singapore to get acquainted with the latest technological methods in water treatment there.
In statements, Moghazi said that the ministry adopts a strategy of reusing irrigation water as one of the main resources to fill the gap in water balance.
He further said that Egypt’s quota from Nile River is much less than the actual needs.
Moghazi will accompany President Abdel Fattah El Sisi during his visit to Singapore that will start on Saturday until September 1 to discuss a number of strategic issues of mutual interest and benefit from Singapore’s successful experiment in the field of sewage and agriculture water treatment and seawater desalination.
