Malaysian Prime Minister to Visit Cambodia Next Week

Malaysian Prime Minister Honorable Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim will visit Cambodia early next week, according to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this evening.

The Honorable Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim will pay an official visit Cambodia on Mar. 27, 2023 at the invitation of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, it pointed out.

“He will be granted a Royal Audience by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, at the Royal Palace. He will also have separate courtesy calls on Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate, and Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia,” the source added.

During the visit, it continued, the two Prime Ministers will meet bilaterally to explore new ways and means to further deepen the long-standing bilateral ties that cover all fields of cooperation ranging from political-security, economic to socio-cultural aspects. They will exchange views on sub-regional, regional and international issues of common interest and concern. Subsequently, there will be a signing ceremony of some cooperation initiatives and a joint press conference.

The Honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia will join Samdech Techo Prime Minister for the Iftar dinner, and will participate in the Isya’ and Terawikh Prayer with Muslim scholars and the Muslim community in Cambodia, it pointed out.

“The forthcoming official visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia to Cambodia will lend a new impetus to the robust all-round bilateral ties between the two countries and will contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability in the region as well as to the continued development and prosperity of the ASEAN Community and beyond,” the press release underlined.
