MALAYSIA’S SARAWAK, SINGAPORE INK MOU ON MOBILE DIGITAL PAYMENT PLATFORM COLLABORATION
SINGAPORE, Singapore and Malaysia’s Sarawak have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pave the way for collaboration in the mobile digital payment platform.
Sarawak state Chief Minister, Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg who led a state delegation on a two-day working visit to Singapore, witnessed the signing ceremony at a leading hotel.
The Chief Minister’s office in a statement said Abang Johari paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and later had a meeting with Finance Minister, Heng Swee Kiat.
The Sarawak state Multi-Media Authority (SMA) was represented by its General Manager, Dr Zaidi Razak and Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (Nets) by Group Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Goh.
According to a statement, the Chief Minister and his delegation arrived here on Sunday to explore the possibility of collaboration with the Singapore government in areas of the digital economy.
