Islamabad—Pakistan Permanent Representative to UN Dr Maleeha Lodhi has said that Pakistan was abiding by the international principles in its global econo-diplomatic approaches. The assurance came when Singapore Permanent Representative to UN ambassador Burhan Gafoor called on her in Pakistan Mission in New York on Tuesday. Mutual discussion is reported to have been “very useful” on “wide ranging” topics with fraternal consensus. Both Pakistan and Singapore are friendly countries, sharing international perceptions on all matters. Dr Maleeha in these days is interacting with the representatives of United Nations community of countries in the light of Pakistan’s efforts aimed at reasserting global peace role.
Singapore enjoys a prestigious position in the Far East region having sound ties with Pakistan; In Pakistan’s foreign policy Singapore enjoys comfortable status. There is much scope to increase mutual trade and commerce for benefits of both.
