Managing Domestic Waste In Tiny Singapore

SINGAPORE (Bernama) — Singapore as an island nation has every reason to worry when dealing with domestic waste as there is not enough space to dispose them.

Last year alone 1.73 million tonnes of domestic waste was disposed of in Singapore, which could fill up more than 3,000 Olympic-size swimming pools.

Of this amount about one third consists of packaging waste, something that the state is now working hard to reduce…..
