MASOC Finding Ways To Maximise Seating Capacity At Venues Due To High Demand For Tickets – Zolkples
KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) — The presence of a number of world and Olympics gold medallist in the Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games has boosted ticket sales, forcing the Malaysian SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) to find ways to accomodate the high demand.
MASOC chief executive officer Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong said Singapore swimmer Joseph Schooling, winner of a swimming gold medal at the Rio Olympics last year and Vietnam’s Hoang Xuan Vinh, winner of the gold medal in shooting have confirmed their participation in the SEA Games held from Aug 19-30.
“Ticket sales has picked up pace and selling very fast. Even for futsal we have decided to sell tickets for each game instead of selling tickets for per session of four matches a day. This is to avoid congestion at games venues,” he told reporters after chairing the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) board of governors meeting, here today.
He said MASOC had already sold RM15,000 worth of tickets for futsal since July 4.
Zolkples said MASOC was also finding ways to maximise seating capacity at venues to enable more fans to watch competitions, because the sales of tickets for various sports has picked up momentum…..
