Damage in Assam

Damage in Assam

Update 15:39 UTC :  At least 25 people injured due to panic in Bangladesh

Update 15:22 UTC : 3 people have been injured in Siliguri (panic = also secondary reason)

Update 14:52 UTC : Based on the scanning of the affected areas, we found out that 1 person was killed in Guwahati. Damage was also reported in Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kokata(cracks). Several people are reportedly injured in Manipur.
The person killed in Guwahati was kigged by an electric shock caused by falling electrical wires.

Update 14:49 UTC : Shaking circles Maximum MMI 6 (moderate shaking) in the inner circle

Screen Shot 2016-04-13 at 16.49.15

Update 14:41 UTC : Professor Max Wyss, who specializes in theoretical prognoses of injuries and fatalities expects : Only 0 to 10 injuries and NO fatalities which is great news

Update 14:33 UTC : Based on the reports we receive from our readers, the shaking in Mandalay is reasonable (what we expected) and will only if any generate only very slight damage like falling tiles Let’s hope we are right.

Screen Shot 2016-04-13 at 16.34.33

Update 14:23 UTC : The city of Schwebo is at a relatively safe distance but we still fear for slight damage. Mandalay on the other hand is relatively safe based on the current shaking values.

Update 14:22 UTC : USGS reports a depth of 135 km. The deeper the better, the shallower the worser!

Update 14:18 UTC : The yellow area on the map is our deep concern

Screen Shot 2016-04-13 at 16.18.21

Update 14:10 UTC : Based on the data available now we fear tha poor housing can be vulnerable for the shaking and that secondary effects like landslides could have a major damaging effect in hilly and mountainous areas.

Update 14:07 UTC : The earthquake is felt in all neighbouring countries
