PETALING JAYA: Malaysian CrimeWatch Task Force (MyWatch) chairman Datuk R. Sri Sanjeevan claimed trial at the Sessions Court today over his Facebook postings on Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

Sri Sanjeevan, 32, is alleged to have knowingly uploaded an offensive posting, titled ‘Khalid, Are You An Idiot?’ on Crime Watch MyWatch at 1.48pm on Sept 3, which was read on Sept 5 at 11.30am.

Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Nordin Ismail requested the court to impose a RM5,000 bail.

Counsel C. Prakash, in seeking a lower bail, said a RM2,000 bail is a reasonable amount.

Judge Azhaniz Teh Azman Teh fixed bail at RM3,000 in one surety and fixed Nov 28 for mention and document submission.

The businessman had also been charged previously with extortion, cheating and hiring an illegal worker.
