No Trump card for TPP agreement
THE Victorian Farmers Federation is hoping US President-elect Donald Trump will come to his senses and recognise the value of signing off on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
Mr Trump’s victory is likely to kill off the agreement, which involves Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Brunei, Chile, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam.
President Barack Obama’s administration has suspended its efforts to win congressional approval for the TPP deal before Mr Trump takes office.
