Over 500 Journalists Register for 12th ASEAN Para Games in June

As of May 30, 2023, more than 500 journalists have registered to cover the forthcoming 12th ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia.

The figure was shared by H.E. Phos Sovann, Director General of the Ministry of Information’s General Department of Information and Broadcasting (INB) and Chairman of the Information and Broadcasting Commission of the Cambodian SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Organising Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC).

Among the registered journalists, over 100 are foreign journalists, he pointed out.

“As in the 32nd SEA Games, we have prepared the Main Press Centre (MPC) for national and international journalists which can accommodate from 250 to 350 journalists at a time with free snacks,” he added.

The 12th ASEAN Para Games will be held in Phnom Penh from June 3 to 9, 2023 with a total of 14 sports, including Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Chess, 5-a-side Football, 7-a-side Football, Goalball, Judo, Powerlifting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Siting Volleyball, Wheelchairs Basketball, and E-sports (Demonstration).

More than 2,600 sports delegates and athletes including some 1,400 athletes from 11 participating countries will join the games to take place at Morodok Techo National Stadium, National Olympic Stadium and other courts in Phnom Penh capital.
