PGGMB Members Left for S'pore to Attend 16th PGN (BruDirect (Brunei))
Members of Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) left the country yesterday to attend the 16th Nusantara Teachers’ Meet (PGN) scheduled to take place from September 4 and 5 in Singapore.
With the exception to the President of PGGMB, Haji Antin bin Ahad, who will leave the country for the two-day meet today, the other 11 delegates were led by the Deputy President, Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pengiran Haji Matarsat.
Singapore’s Malay Teachers’ Union will manage and facilitate the gathering that will incorporate a seminar based on the theme `Information Communication Technology and 21″ Century Education System’.
Participating countries include Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. They will deliberate and discuss their working papers and country reports focusing on the utilisation of ICT in their respective countries.
Malaysia is represented by the National Union of Teaching Professions Malaysia; Indonesia is represented by the Teachers Association of the Republic of Indonesia and Singapore by its Singapore Malay Teachers’ Union.
The PGN was established with the objectives of strengthening the spirit of cooperation in the field of education and culture among the Malay nations of the Mean bloc.
