Processed Food Exports Up 12.6 Pct To RM12.67 Billion In Jan-Aug 2016 Period

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) — Malaysia’s exports of processed food rose 12.6 per cent to RM12.67 billion in the first eight months of this year from RM11.24 billion in the same period last year, says the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.

Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dzulkifli Mahmud said the top five destinations were Singapore, China, Indonesia, Australia and Thailand.

He said main products exported during the period included edible products and preparations, cocoa and cocoa preparations, prepared cereal and flour preparations, margarine and shortening, as well as dairy products…..
