SICC Human Capital Committee Meeting
The committee discussed recent shifts in conventional HR practices pertaining to a competency-based recruitment, talent management and employees’ performance appraisals. A key issue raised was the need for performance reviews to be conducted differently and effectively, such as through continuous and meaningful conversations with employees for a more effective evaluation. Members also recognize a need to move away from management over emphasizing performance ratings linking them to bonuses and promotions.
