Singapore 7s: Fiji lose first pool match

Update: 4:37PM SAMOA defeated the Vodafone Fiji sevens side 28-14 in their first pool match of the Singapore Sevens tournament this afternoon.

The Fijians were outclassed by the Samoans, who went on the board first with a converted try followed by another.

Vatemo Ravouvou scored a try for Fiji to narrow the gap, with Samoa leading 14-7 at half time.

It was Samoa all over in the second half, scoring two more converted tries.

Nemani Nagusa scored for Fiji to put the final scores at 28-14 in favour of Samoa.

Fiji will play Portugal at 7:33pm and England at 11:26pm today in their other pool matches.
