India`s Tata Sons Ltd and Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) have injected a further INR2 billion (USD30.98 million) into Vistara (UK, Delhi Int`l).
India`s LiveMint reports this tranche of equity investment follows previous injections of INR6.2 billion (USD96.1 million), INR1.5 billion (USD23.2 million), and INR2.5 billion (USD38.7 million) since the carrier was founded in 2014.
According to the paper, the airline made a loss of INR4.09 billion (USD61.98 million) on revenue of INR7.1456 billion (USD110.68 million) in 2015/16.
Vistara is a 51/49 joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines. It operates thirteen A320-200s on flights connecting nineteen cities around India.
