Skopje-Doha flight provides link to 150 global destinations
Skopje, 18 July 2017 (MIA) – The Skopje-Doha flight will provide links to 150 global destinations, facilitate travel for Macedonian emigrants in Australia and New Zealand, and open room for enhancement of economic cooperation between the two countries, heard a press conference on Tuesday.
“Qatar Airways” introduced the Doha-Skopje-Doha flight on Monday, which will be operating four times a week.
“We are linking Macedonia with connecting flights to Melbourne, Perth, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai and other destinations. There are about 2,000 Macedonians working in Qatar, of whom 100 in ‘Qatar Airways'”, said the airline’s chief commercial officer Ehab Amin.
Minister of Transport and Communications Goran Sugareski said the new flight opens numerous opportunities for enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, culture, investments and other areas of common interest.
“This overlaps with the intentions of the new government to provide conditions for attraction of foreign investments. In addition, Macedonian companies can enlarge their businesses and distribute products at new markets”, said Sugareski.
“Qatar Airways” has a fleet of 200 aircraft operating 150 business and travel destinations at six continents. It is also the third-largest cargo carrier, serving 60 cargo destinations worldwide through its Doha headquarters. ik/14:51
