The Avengers show sets new Singapore pre-launch ticket sales
SINGAPORE: Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) sets off a new record for an exhibition event in Singapore with over 8,000 pre-launch ticket sales.
The interactive exhibition, making its Southeast Asia debut at the Science Centre Singapore (SCS) tomorrow (Oct 29), is brought in by Star Media Group.
It runs until March 5 next year at the SCS Annex Hall.
Star Media Group owns 53% Cityneon Holdings Ltd through its subsidiary Victory Hill Exhibitions Pte Ltd (VHE), the company that has the rights to exhibit characters from the Marvel and Avengers series.
Star Media Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai said the exhibition received tremendous response and has set a new record for pre-launch ticket sales compared to past exhibitions.
“Adults and children alike get to fulfill their childhood fantasy because I believe there is a little boy or girl in all of us who would love seeing these Avengers figures come alive from the silver screen,” Wong said at a reception here on Friday.
VHE chief executive officer and president Ron Tan said the exhibition, after its stop in Singapore, would be extended to Taipei next year followed by Australia.
“The exhibition is the biggest one yet across an area of 20,000 sq ft and using some 16,900m of electric cables to bring the much-loved comic characters to life,” added Tan.
The exhibition follows successful runs in New York, Paris, Seoul and Las Vegas.
VHE holds the rights to produce, market and promote the Marvel exhibits for display in museums and science centres or other similar venues.
