The Police have arrested a 41-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft in dwelling cases.

On 30 June 2019 at 10.15am, the police received a report that a wallet was stolen from a residential unit along Lorong 15 Geylang.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day. Further investigations revealed that the man was believed to be involved in other cases of theft in dwelling reported in Geylang.

The man will be charged in court on 2 July 2019 for the offence of theft in dwelling under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 7 years, or with a fine, or with both.
