TNB's Unit Issues US$750 Million Sukuk

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 (Bernama) — Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) wholly-owned subsidiary, TNB Global Ventures Capital Bhd has issued a US$750 million sukuk (approximately RM3.15 billion) under the US$2.5 billion Multicurrency Sukuk Issuance Programme.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, TNB said the book-building process for the first series was completed on Oct 12 and would be listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd and the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.

The tenure of issue would be for 10 years with a 3.244 per cent per annum profit rate, payable semi-annually.
