Travel Notice: Situation in Mandalay, Myanmar [Updated: 13 August 2014]

As of 12 August 2014, the curfew that was imposed in Mandalay on 3 July 2014 has been lifted.  Singaporeans who are travelling to Mandalay are advised to take all necessary precautions for personal safety as well as monitor local news and developments closely, and heed the instructions of local authorities.  Singaporeans travelling to Myanmar are encouraged to eRegister with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at as well as purchase comprehensive travel and medical insurance.  Singaporeans that require consular assistance while in Myanmar may contact our Embassy in Yangon or the 24 hr MFA Duty Office at:
