Twenty-Seven Arrested In Enforcement Operation Against Massage Establishments And Public Entertainment Outlets

The Police have arrested twenty-six women and one man, aged between 20 and 37, during a two-day enforcement operation against massage establishments and public entertainment outlets along Race Course Road, Beach Road and Serangoon Road on 18 and 19 December 2018.

During the enforcement operation conducted by Central Police Division, two unlicensed massage establishments were detected. Five women, aged between 25 and 37 were arrested for offences under the Women’s Charter.

Two public entertainment outlets were also found to have contravened licensing conditions. Twenty-one women and one man, aged between 20 and 35 were arrested for offences under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

Investigations are ongoing.

Actions will be taken against the operators for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainment Act and Massage Establishment Act 2017. The Police takes a serious view of anyone involved in criminal activities and will continue to take tough enforcement action against those found breaking the law.
