The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved two new investment projects with a total capital of US$10.4 million.
The new projects belong to Fitly Apparel Co., Ltd., and WH Packaging Co., Ltd., and are located in Sangkat Choam Chao of Phnom Penh capital and in Mok Kampoul district of Kandal province, respectively, said the CDC in its press release issued this afternoon.
The first company will invest US$5.3 million in creating a garment factory, while the second will inject US$5.1 million in the manufacturing of packaging materials, it added.
Almost 3,000 jobs are expected to be generated for the locals by the two newly approved projects, said the press release.
