Uniphore mulls expanding footprints in APAC region

: co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan funded Uniphore Software Systems, a based speech recognition solutions company, is targeting the Pacific to further expand its footprints.

“This is a strategic move to further expand our outreach outside India. I am very excited to grow the APAC market for Uniphore. The region offers immense potential that we are looking to serve with our multiple product offerings,” Uniphore Co-Founder Ravi Saraogi said in a statement here.

Apart from Gopalakrishnan, Uniphore investors include IDGVentures India, Angel Network, Yournest Fund and Stata Ventures.

In order to focus on the expansion, Saraogi has been elevated as the President of APAC region and will now be based in Singapore.

Sanjeev Gadre, currently the CMO, will take overfrom Saraogi as the new COO.

Saraogi, in his new role, will be responsible for the overall expansion and growth of Uniphore in the APAC region.

He will focus on increasing Uniphore’s customer footprint as well as hire and nurture local talent to support Uniphore’s business growth.

The company has offices in India, the Philippines, and UAE with about 100 employees spread across all locations.

Uniphore’s Co-Founder and CEO Umesh Sachdev was recognised by the TIME Magazine list of 2016 amongst 10 Millennials Changing The World.
