Vans x Thrasher featured in Jakarta's Sneaker Week
Fans of Vans products may want to head to Gandaria City Hall, as the Sneaker Week held on Sept 21-23 is featuring a collaboration collection between the brand and Thrasher, as reported by Kompas.com.
Marshall Surjana, owner of Limited Grail, is one of the tenants selling Vans x Trasher. Speaking to Kompas.com on Thursday, Marshall said the shoe design from the collaboration is priced at Rp 2,5 million (US$ 187). However, the product must be pre-ordered from distributors in Singapore and the United States.
“If you want it, you could order it first, because it’s directly from the distributor. The fastest is three weeks for the goods to arrive, or one month at the longest,” Marshall said.

Vans is commonly related with the skateboard community, which led to the collaboration with Trasher, a magazine which specifically covers the issue. Established in 1981, Trasher’s signature logo, which consists of a drawing of flames, is applied on the collaboration collection, ranging from shoes, jackets, hoodies and hats.
The Vans Thrasher collection consists of five designs on professional skate classics, such as UltraRange Pro all-new, Sk8-Hi Pro dan Slip-On Pro. Each shoe base uses Vans Pro Skate technology with UltraCush Lite and UltraCush HD sockliners, Duracap reinforced bottom layers, as well as the Vans’ original waffle rubber outsole that is known to be comfortable and sturdy.
In addition to the shoes, other Vans x Thrasher collections are also featured, such as trucker hat, pullover hoodie and Vans x Thrasher M65 jacket. (liz/asw)
