Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade and Industry, Dr Tan Wu Meng will visit Makassar in South Sulawesi Province from 9 to 11 July 2019. The visit is part of Singapore’s continued efforts to expand cooperation and strengthen ties with Indonesia at the regional level. Economic ties between Singapore and South Sulawesi are growing rapidly, and Makassar is part of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN).

2 SPS Tan will meet South Sulawesi Governor Prof Dr Nurdin Abdullah, South Sulawesi Vice-Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, Acting Makassar Mayor Dr M Iqbal Samad Suhaeb and other key provincial and local leaders. SPS will also meet with the local media and business personalities during the visit.

3 SPS Tan will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
