Phnom Penh: The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Chile have agreed to establish Political Consultations between their Foreign Ministries, with plans to convene the first meeting soon.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Mrs. EAT Sophea, Cambodian Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. Patricio Powell Osorio, Chilean Ambassador to Cambodia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Political Consultations in Phnom Penh on June 12.
During their exchange, H.E. Mrs. EAT Sophea and Ambassador Patricio Powell Osorio discussed ways to strengthen and deepen bilateral relations and cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, and people-to-people connectivity.
Both parties also expressed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation in international fora and emphasized the importance of bilateral consultations between the two Foreign Ministries. They agreed to hold the first meeting in the near future.
