Cambodia Seeks Enhanced Cooperation on Trade and Tourism with Cyprus


Phnom Penh: Cambodia is actively seeking to enhance cooperation in trade, tourism investment, and human capital development with Cyprus and other nations. This initiative was emphasized by Cambodia’s Acting Head of State, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, who is also the Senate President, during a meeting with H.E. Salah Essa, the Honorary Consul of Cyprus to Cambodia.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting, which took place on March 18 in Phnom Penh, saw H.E. Salah Essa and a delegation of Honorary Consuls from ten other countries commend Cambodia’s rapid socio-economic growth. They expressed a strong interest in leveraging cooperation with Cambodia to mutually benefit all parties involved.



During the discussions, Samdech Techo Hun Sen conveyed Cambodia’s strong interest in focusing on trade, tourism investment, and human capital development. He highlighted the importance of these areas as key drivers for Cambodia’s continued growth and development.



H.E. Salah Essa assured that he, along with other Honorary Consuls, would diligently work to promote these areas of cooperation. The delegation aims to expand trade, attract investment, and increase the number of tourists visiting Cambodia, thereby strengthening the ties between Cambodia and the countries represented by the consuls.
