Preparations for Asian Youth Games’ Flag Receipt Discussed

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts (MCFA) are in discussions regarding preparations for the flag-handover ceremony as the next host of the Asian Youth Games in 2029, following the event in Bahrain.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, MoEYS Secretary of State, and H.E. Mrs. Lundy Sannara, MCFA Secretary of State, led the discussions on April 25 in Phnom Penh. The preparations are focused on creating content and organizing spectacles that will highlight Cambodia’s culture, tourism, and sports. A 10-minute performance by youth under 18 years old is planned for the ceremony.

A proposal was also made to hold a parade in Phnom Penh with the Asian Youth Games’ flag after it is received from the 4th Asian Youth Games, scheduled for October 31 in Bahrain. The parade aims to showcase Cambodia’s readiness to host the 2029 event.
