Phnom Penh: Cambodian Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Lee Jae-myung, new President of the Republic of Korea. On behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia and his own behalf, Samdech Techo Hun Sen extended his heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Lee Jae-myung on his election and inauguration as President of the Republic of Korea.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed that H.E. Lee Jae-myung's victory reflected the confidence and trust that the people of the Republic of Korea have placed upon his unifying and forward-looking leadership.
The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea have increasingly fostered close cooperation in all dimensions, especially parliamentary diplomacy, economy, culture, politics, and people-to-people exchanges, establishing a "Strategic Partnership" in May 2024.
"I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to further deepen our strong relationship and cooperation across various sectors between our two nations and legislative bodies, in particular, for peace, stability, and prosperity of our two countries and the region," concluded the message.
