Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Women’s Affairs and the Embassy of India in Cambodia jointly organised here yesterday afternoon the 11th International Day of Yoga 2025 under the theme “One Earth, One Health.” The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs, and H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the celebration aimed to honour the ancient tradition of yoga-a practice that embodies both a philosophy and a discipline-promoting overall physical and mental well-being. Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi emphasised that regular yoga practice offers numerous benefits for mental health, physical health, and intellectual clarity, while also building resilience to environmental stresses and supports well-being in daily life.
H.E. Minister encouraged all civil servants to continue practicing yoga regularly at home in order to reduce stress and boost both physical and mental energy.
