About 385 million USD needed to upgrade three national highways in Mekong Delta

The Department for Roads of Vietnam has proposed a project worth nearly 9.3 trillion VND (385 million USD) to upgrade and innovate parts of three national highways - No 53, No 62 ,and No 91B - in the Mekong Delta. Of the sum, over 6.25 trillion VND will be sourced from the World Bank's loans and over 3 trillion VND from Vietnam's counterpart capital, according to a proposal submitted to the Ministry of Transport. The project will upgrade about 69km of National Highway No 62 in Long An province, Nga Tu bridge and a 41km section of National Highway No 53 in Vinh Long and Tra Vinh provinces, and a 141km section of National Highway No 91B in Can Tho city and the provinces of Hau Giang, Soc Trang, and Bac Lieu.
