Dhaka: Vehicular movement remains limited from 8:00 am today in the College Gate intersection (Residential Model College), IDB Bhaban intersection, and Bijoy Sarani areas of Dhaka city on the occasion of the namaz-e-janaza and burial of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The Namaz-e-Janaza of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will be held across the Manik Mia Avenue in the city after Zohr prayers around 2:00 pm today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release said pedestrian movement will remain open on those roads. Everyone is requested to plan their travel accordingly, taking the matter into consideration.
After the namaz-e-janaza, Begum Khaleda Zia will be laid to rest beside her husband Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman at Zia Udyan here at 3:30 pm. Begum Khaleda Zia passed away at 6:00 am on Tuesday (December 30) while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital aged 80.
