Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the following appointments: Matthew Atchley, 53, of Cameron Park, has been appointed Associate Director of High Security Male Institutions at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Atchley has served as Warden at Salinas Valley State Prison since 2019, where he served in several positions from 2004 to 2016 and in 2019, including Chief Deputy Warden, Associate Warden, Correctional Captain, Correctional Lieutenant, Correctional Sergeant and Correctional Officer.
