Dhaka: The namaz-e-janaza of three-time former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will take place across Manik Mia Avenue in the city after Zohr prayers around 2:00 pm tomorrow. The Chief Adviser's Press Wing announced on Tuesday night that the coffin would be placed at the western end of Manik Mia Avenue, and the janaza will span the inner ground of the Jatiya Sangsad, its outer premises, and the entire stretch of the avenue. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, security forces and relevant state agencies are making necessary preparations to ensure that people from all walks of life can pay their last respects and participate in the janaza without any hindrance. Arrangements are also underway to accommodate people along the surrounding roads of Manik Mia Avenue. Following the janaza, Begum Khaleda Zia will be laid to rest with state honor beside Shaheed President and freedom fighter Ziaur Rahman's grave around 3:30 pm. The burial will be attended by family members, state dignitaries, government officials, foreign guests, ambassadors, and BNP political leaders. For the smooth completion of the burial, entry will be restricted to designated individuals. Public movement in Zia Udyan at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar will be limited until the burial process concludes.
