Lao Airline resumes flight route Vientiane – Luang Prabang, Vientiane -Changsha

The Lao Airline resumed direct flight route Vientiane-Luang Prabang and Vientiane- Changsha in Hunan Province, China on Sept 6. The Lao Airline resumed direct flight route Vientiane-Luang Prabang and Vientiane- Changsha in Hunan Province, China on Sept 6.

The launching ceremony was held at the Luang Prabang Airport in the presence of the Former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Somsavat Lengsavad, Governor of Luang Prabang Province, Mr. Khamkhan Chanthavisouk and Governor of China's Hunan Province Mao Weiming.

The first flight of Lao Airlines Vientiane - Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province, took off on Friday, reviving the flight route after China reopened its borders and lifted Covid-related travel restrictionsThe twice-weekly flight on Monday and Friday is designed to meet the demands of the growing number of tourists and businesspersons in the region, bolstering trade and general economic activity between Laos and China.

The Vientiane-Changsha flight is intended is to revitalise tourism in Laos, and also to boost Laos’ connectivity with the rest of the region and rejuvenate the economy.
