Minister Acknowledges World Vision International’s Role in Cambodia’s Humanitarian Efforts


Phnom Penh: The Minister of Cults and Religious Affairs has appreciated World Vision International’s (WVI) efforts in humanitarian missions, particularly its programmes on education and elimination of violence against women and children.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Chay Borin highlighted his appreciation during a meeting with National Director of WVI in Cambodia, Mr. Janes Imanuel Ginting, in Phnom Penh. The meeting took place on April 23, where the Minister also encouraged further cooperation between the government and WVI to address social issues hindering the country’s development.



Mr. Janes Imanuel Ginting noted that the organisation has been operational in Cambodia for over 50 years. WVI’s focus areas include rural clean water and sanitation, education, health, and social affairs. The National Director commended the Cambodian government for its cooperation and guidance on WVI’s work priorities.
