Prime Minister Hun Manet Engages with Cambodian Diaspora in Nice


Nice: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, along with First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony and senior officials, engaged with the Cambodian community in Nice, France, after attending the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3).



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Prime Minister and his delegation visited a Cambodian restaurant owned by a community member in Nice, where they dined before meeting with Cambodian citizens residing and working in the area. Although time was limited, the Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at the opportunity to connect with many members of the community.



Samdech Thipadei took to social media to express gratitude for the warm reception extended by the Cambodian diaspora, acknowledging their continued connection to their homeland despite being abroad. Community members urged the Prime Minister to prioritize national development and prevent any return to conflict, voicing concerns about the ongoing border issue.



In response to these concerns, the Prime Minister assured the community of the Royal Government’s dedication to protecting Cambodia’s territorial integrity and pursuing peaceful resolutions to avoid conflict while safeguarding the interests of the nation and its people.
