Dhaka: The inflow of remittances into Bangladesh saw a significant year-on-year growth of 21.3 percent, reaching a total of US$2,936 million in the first twenty-eight days of December. This increase was reported by Bangladesh Bank (BB) today, showcasing a substantial rise compared to the same period last year when the remittance inflow stood at $2,421 million. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July to December 28, 2025, expatriates sent a total of $15,974 million in remittances. This figure marks an increase from the $13,558 million recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The growth in remittance inflows is a positive indicator for the country's economy, reflecting increased financial contributions from Bangladeshis working abroad.
