The southernmost province of Ca Mau has restored nearly 1,000ha of protective forests thanks to embankment projects, according to the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The province has completed the construction of 55.7km of coastal embankment, with a total investment of about 1.7 trillion VND (67.2 million USD). Director of the provincial irrigation sub-department Nguyen Thanh Tung said that such projects have brought about good results, contributing to protecting people's lives and their production as well as restoring the coastal ecological environment.
