Cambodia-Ukraine Friendly Relations to Continue to Develop

Ukrainian top leaders have congratulated H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet on his assumption of the office as the Prime Minister of Cambodia for the 7th Legislature of National Assembly.

“I am confident that the friendly relations between our states will continue to develop based on mutual respect and partnership,” said H.E. Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine in his recent congratulatory message to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit.

He also reaffirmed commitment of the Government of Ukraine to work on the implementation of the joint mutually beneficial projects, in particular in the framework of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

For his part, H.E. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, appreciated the principled position of Cambodia in the matter of supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, protecting the rule of law and order in the midst of the Russian war against Ukraine, and expressed his gratitude to Cambodia for the assistance on humanitarian demining in Ukraine.

“We rely on the involvement of Your State in international efforts aimed at ending Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, restoring world order and respect for the UN Charter based on the Ukrainian Peace Formula,” he underlined, taking the opportunity to invite H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit to make a visit to Ukraine.

Other world leaders, including those of Bangladesh, Belarus, Brunei Darussalam, China, Cuba, Ghana, Hungary, India, Japan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea, Maldives, Myanmar, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tunisia, Türkiye, Vietnam and so on as well as president of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have also sent their respective congratulatory messages to H.E. Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet.
