Coal carving – unique craft in Quang Ninh province

Beside the world-famous Ha Long Bay, the northern province of Quang Ninh is also known for its coal carving - a unique craft of the locality endowed with the biggest coal reserves in Vietnam. With their skillful hands, the local carvers turn rough black coal blocks into beautiful sculptural pieces, which are unique souvenirs for every tourist visiting the province.
