Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today highlighted the significant role of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) in promoting domestic products and expanding Bangladesh’s export potential. He urged all participating countries and institutions to collaborate in a spirit of mutual cooperation and partnership during the 30th DITF 2026.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the chief adviser expressed the interim government’s commitment to maintaining economic stability and fostering growth. He described the trade fair as a unique initiative that showcases Bangladesh’s immense potential on the global stage. Prof Dr Yunus extended his greetings to all participants, including domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, investors, traders, and buyers, emphasizing the fair’s importance in providing local entrepreneurs and consumers with insights into the quality, design, and global trends of foreign products.
The month-long fair has consistently served as an effective platform for presenting high-quality locally manufactured products to both domestic and international visitors. Prof Dr Yunus noted that the DITF is crucial in advancing economic activities, creating employment, and strengthening the country’s export capabilities. He expressed his belief that the fair will drive national development by promoting local products, encouraging diversification, and attracting foreign investment.
The chief adviser wished the DITF 2026 every success, expressing his hope that the event would emerge as a vibrant, buyer-friendly, and festive occasion through the meaningful engagement of all stakeholders.
